Who is this Colin Nekritz guy? And why is he writing in third-person?

I’m a creative, doing creative things, in creative ways. I’ve done international work for Fortune 100 companies to small non-profits and every sized company in between. I’ve led creative and art direction, marketing for industries such as retail, healthcare, B2B, corporate, consumer, higher education, entertainment for interactive, online, print, and skywriting mediums. (Just kidding, haven’t done skywriting… yet).

If you’ve been alive since the 1990s you’ve most likely seen the work I’ve had the pleasure of being involved with, some of this includes The Coca-Cola Company, Adobe Systems Incorporated, Philips, Motorola, and others. What type of work? Branding, design, layout, retouching, coding, marketing; I’ve straddled the idea process to doing process to the leadership process. I’m at home getting my hands dirty with a mouse as with leading teams with multiple colors of dry-erase markers on whiteboards to Gantt charts.

In addition to being involved with the bleeding edge of technology I’ve followed developments with a passion, given talks, and helped organizations make the most of the latest, which as this is typed is already a day old.

My mantra is “content is king,” whether you’re a large global company or an individual, put your focus into what you say and follow Occam’s Razor wherever or whenever possible with your message, your code, your brand, your design be it a web site, an ad, packaging, etc. Occam’s Razor may be best summed up best by Leonardo da Vinci:

Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.



I’ve had the opportunity to lead talented people, teach talented students, write, play instruments, meet those who inspired me, give back, and travel a lot. I’m always up for a challenge and new roles, the world is a strange place but don’t be a stranger.
